Toward the realization of Small Jet Airplane in which Japanese Aircraft Industries play a main role in the development and manufacturing, aircraft conceptual design, market research, and competitiveness assessment of the subject airplane have been performed. Specifically, in consideration of making the most use of the opportunities of the ongoing military airplane developments, commercial airplanes with new technologies and competitiveness is being configured and studied. In addition to that, utilization of information technology to lower the costs for development and manufacturing, airframe/system integration technology, and system/component fundamental technology will be studied further.


(2)    High Speed Transport Program :

High Speed Transport Program is to study the feasibility of future transport fly in the speed range of high subsonic to low supersonic.
Study includes market analysis, aircraft configuration and performance, aerodynamics and structures as fundamental technologies to solve the issue of next generation supersonic airliner.


(3) Advanced System Program :

This is a program under the contract with the government. The object of this project is to develop advanced aircraft systems, such as advanced electrical system, environmental control system, flight control system, landing gear system and etc. for aircraft weight reduction and energy conservation, and also for flight safety or cabin environment improvement.


(4) 787 Developmet Program :

This is an International Development program of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, starting from FY2003. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a super-efficient airplane with new passenger-pleasing features. It will bring the economics of large jet transports to the middle of the market. JADC works are (1)wing box, (2)part of forward fuselage, (3)main wing fixed trailing edge, (4)main landing gear wheel well, (5)center wing box, and (6)integration of the center wing box with the main landing gear wheel well. The FY 2008 787 activities are the design, the tests, and the production of the static/fatigue test aircrafts and the flight test aircrafts.


(5) Market Research :

This research makes a collection of market data and perform the market analysis and forecast concerning commercial air transport airplanes, supported by Japan Keirin Association since FY1998. The output of this research is opened to the public through printing matter and our internet homepage.
